ABOUT

Boonhow is a millennial born in Singapore, South East Asia. He was raised by his nanny and supported by very frugal and hardworking parents who worked up to 12 hours every day. His interest in money was ignited when, as a child, he helped out at his parents’ food stall. Money passed by his hand but none belonged to him.

Thanks to his frugal parents, Boonhow graduated from university without any student loan. His parents paid off his course fees with cash (S$24,000). Boonhow later met different people, from all walks of life, with college debt and quickly realized how fortunate he was. The importance of saving up was deeply etched into him. Eager to find ways to grow his money, Boonhow turned to value investing and use this safe method to grow his money.

Like everyone growing up in Singapore, Boonhow went through the same struggles and challenges. He decided to focus on only the things that matter to him most and say no to the many different distractions available in this current time. He follows in the footstep of his heroes, Charlie Munger, and Mark Zuckerberg – make things simple and focus. Boonhow adopts a minimalist attire and can be spotted wearing a grey tshirt, blue jeans and sneakers almost every day.
